Awesome Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Yesterday I decided to bake some cookies. I have been craving good oatmeal cookies that usually someone's grandma would usually bake. I have tried many recipes over the years and there are a few that was good but not outstanding. I found a recipe that is like old fashion oatmeal cookies.

Here is the recipe for all those oatmeal cookie lovers! Enjoy!

1/2 pound (2sticks) margarine or butter, softened
1 Cup firmly packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1-1/2 Cups of All purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of Salt (optional)
3 Cups of Oats quick or old fashion, uncooked
1 cup of Raisins

Heat the oven to 350 F
Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well.
Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
Take an ice cream scooper or drop rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12-14 mins or until done.

I ended up adding chocolate morsals and 1 cup of peanut butter. But that is optional!
